Different uses of the Foredom Flex Shaft

A bench-style version of Foredom’s high-torque/low-speed L motor with an integrated speed control is mounted in a cast-iron base for easy placement anywhere on your workbench. The motor achieves a top speed of 5,000 rpm. It is perfect for low speed applications that demand precise control. The closed housing offers quiet operation and prevents dust from entering the motor. The dial control allows precise and reliable speed control, as well as good repeatability of speed settings. The motor comes supplied with Foredom’s standard shaft and a more flexible neoprene sheath. Collet type handpiece that accomodates accessories with up to 1/4" (.64cm) diameter shanks. Prelubricated ball bearings require no maintenance. Comes with 3/32" (.24cm), 1/8" (.32cm) and 1/4" (.64cm) collets, pin and wrench for changing collets and accessories.

3M QRS Disc Kits

3M Flexible Diamond QRS (Quick Release System) Discs attach easily to a soft neoprene foam pad making grade changes quick and easy. For grinding, carving and polishing of glass objects. Works well for removing the flashing from pate de verre pieces. Use water as coolant. Mandrel has ¼" (.64cm) straight shank. Fits most flex shafts. Available in 1" (2.54cm) and 1½" (3.8cm) kits. Each kit comes complete with a 60, 120, 200, 400, 800 and 1800 mesh discs.

Diamond Point Tools

These plated diamond point tools are 100 mesh /150 micron with a 3/32" (.24cm) stainless steel shank. They are ideal for cleaning up the hard to get to areas on your pate de verre and castings or they can be used to engrave and add detail to your glass work.
