The Studio Model Beveling Machine (SB-810) can bevel pieces of glass up to fourteen inches in length (a piece of glass that can be held comfortably in your hands). Two people can work on the machine at one time, producing a total of two linear inches per minute. The extremely flexible Studio Model Beveling Machine lets you handle everything from straight-line bevels to the tightest of inside curves. You can produce brilliant cutwork, surface notching, honeycomb work and mitering. Create custom jewels or glass sculptures. Edge pieces of thick glass to fit into came. Do your own cutoffs. This versatile machine is a great addition to any professional glass studio.

REPLACEMENT WHEELS
Electroplated Diamond Wheels
Use the 120 mesh wheel to shape your glass pieces, use the 360 mesh wheel to smooth them and the 600 mesh wheel to pre-polish your glass pieces before final polishing with the felt wheel and cerium oxide. The 8" (20cm) wheels are typically used to grind larger pieces, straights and outside curves while the 4" (10cm) wheels are typically used on small pieces and tight inside curves.

Fiber Wheels
Denver Glass Machinery's smoothing and polishing wheel is a revolutionary new glass wheel. It replaces the traditional cork wheel. The polishing compound is within the wheel. It saves the mess of charging the cork wheel with pumice and quickly removes light facets left by the stone wheel while polishing the glass in preparation for the final luster polish with the felt wheel. This fiber wheel is generally used in the third stage of beveling. Some dressing is needed. Use the pumice block in one dressing tools section.

10" x 2" x 5" (25cm x 5cm x 13cm)
Uses the 5" to 1" (13cm to 2.54cm) flange set

Flange Set
This part is needed to reduce the 5" (13cm)
arbor hole size to a 1" (2.54cm) arbor on the

Cork Wheels
Traditionally used in the third stage of beveling, these wheels are made of high-density cork. Pumice is applied for the prepolishing step.

Felt Wheels
Manufactured from high quality dense felt, these wheels are used in the last step of the beveling process. Charged with cerium oxide they give a high lustre polish to the glass.

Dressing Tools
Silicone Carbide Dressing Bar- 4" x 3/4" x3/4" (10cm x 1.9cm x 1.9cm) Correct performance of a diamond tool is dependent on exposed diamond crystal. When your diamond wheel or sawblade seems to be cutting slower, use this tool to re-expose the diamond crystal and improve its cutting ablity. |
 |
|
 |
Diamond Dressing Bar- 3/8" x 1-5/8" (1cm x 4cm) is used to dress aluminum oxide composite (stone) wheels. Stone wheels can glaze on the surface after a while and lose their cutting ability. Use this tool to revive your stone wheels. |
 |
Fiber Wheel Dressing Bar- As the name implies, this special pumice bar is used to dress our fiber wheels. |
|
Abrasives
Pumice- This porous volcanic rock is the perfect choice for a pre-polish abrasive. Our high quality 0-grade pumice is free of all impurities. Used on cork wheels.
Cerium Oxide- High performance polishing powder. Polishes fast and yields consistently bright finishes with both synthetic and natural felt wheels.
